Phone Call Reminders

Sometimes you may encounter busy signals or longer than usual holding times when you call our office. In our effort to respond promptly to all of our phone calls, we have a few reminders and pointers in the meantime that may assist you.

Before calling the office,see if your question can be answered by our website. Our FAQ page is a good place to start if you have a concern regarding common health matters in an otherwise healthy child. There is also our link tohealthychildren.org, a website sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics with very helpful information.

When leaving a voice mail message for the doctors, remember that they may not get around to returning your phone call untilafter they have finished seeing their scheduled patients. If you have an urgent matter, please speak to the nurse instead. Phone messages left for the nurse are usually returned within an hour. Rest assured that the nurse will speak to the doctor directly if your child's situation warrants it.

An on-call doctor is always available after hours to help you determine if your child's medical condition warrants immediate medical attention or if your child can be managed at home until the office opens in the morning.

Non-urgent prescription refills are best obtained by contacting the pharmacy where you obtained your medication and then having them fax us your request. Please allow one business day for us to respond.
